Great attention will be paid to the details of soy bottles, pitchers and jars:  lid seatings, rims, handles,and spouts. We will look at the decisions made in the creative process, by choice or by default, that affect the expressive qualities of functional pottery.Through discussion, demonstration, and slide presentation I hope to offer new ideas, and encourage a thoughtful exploration of form. Students should come to the class with a basic ability to throw.
